Opt In Policy for SMS

Last updated: Apr 1, 2024

Earthvisionz licenses severe weather and other types of risk alerts to our customers. We only enable SMS alerts after going through a thorough process to make sure they want the alerts they will be receiving.

Sale process

Before we turn on any alerts for any clients, we first make sure they understand what they will be getting:

  1. Demo the software to interested parties.

  2. Follow up with a proposal indicating terms of the service and price.

  3. Both parties sign a license to send/receive the alerts

  4. Invoice and get paid before turning on the service.

  5. Onboard and train on how to use the service.

  6. Turn on the alerts with data included.

Script for verbal approval to send alerts to clients

Earthvisionz is a severe weather and disaster alerting system.

Questions we ask our prospects:

  • What type of alerts do you need? Earthvisionz has over 140 different alert types including fire, flood, tornado hail, hurricane, high winds, water damage etc. Please select the types of alerts you need in order to respond, restore and recover when damage occurs.

  • Would you like to receive the alerts via email or text message?

  • Who in your organization is authorized to receive the alerts?

  • Would you like to receive the alerts for specific properties at risk or for areas of the county by zip code?

Our customer verbally orders the alerts types to receive, reviews a proposal, signs a license, onboards the product and starts receiving the data on their phone.

This is a multi step opt-in process which includes verbal confirmation and a signed software license.
